What is mentoring?

Put simply, it’s working with a professional writer or editor to learn the craft of storytelling. It can be of benefit to both new and established writers, depending on their needs.

I have mentored authors with books already published, and others who are just starting out.

Because sometimes you just don’t know where to go with a story and need some help. It can be a fresh pair of eyes on your manuscript, a good listener and sounding board to help you find a way forward, or just someone to brainstorm ideas with.

Whether monthly, quarterly, or ad hoc, my aim is to help you build and then maintain momentum with your writing practice, whether that’s finishing that first book, or getting your fifth done in time for a deadline.

I can also offer guidance on choosing a publication path – traditional or indie – social media presence, finding a literary agent, and working with publishers.
